John Buscema enjoyed R.E.H.'s writing, and he was given the paperbacks from Roy Thomas at one point.
The Frazetta image is from the paperbacks (this one is the modified one, you can note, from among other things, the detail on the female as compared to printed version).
Buscema here lifts the pose of the female, and the tilted hand on the left now appears on the right, to the right of the woman's elbow.
