30 TIPS FOR VOTERS 2022
1) Register to vote and check on your status.
2) Read up on the voting issues.
3) Check the voting laws in your state, some states will intimidate, or deny your basic needs to vote. Other states will close and shut down sites and plan to leave you with few spots to vote.
4) Check your vote by mail ballot.
You can mail by mailbox or by the specific voting mail boxes/stand---check with your county.
5) Bring water, ask you work for time to vote.
6) Do not be intimidated.
7) Make sure to vote---this November is one of the most important voting season in the history of this nation.
8) Voters who receive an absentee ballot by mail may deliver their completed ballot to an election site in their county.
9) Polls should be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Voters in line at 7:30 p.m. will be able to cast a ballot. Check your state/city for exact times.
10) If voting by mail make sure to sign, write, and date.
11) You may vote by mail, have it signed (if required) and stamped (postmarked) prior to or the day of the election--but double check with your state guidelines.
12) MAKE SURE YOU ARE REGISTERED TO VOTE.
13) Do not share your voting choices with strangers and do not tolerate harassment in your county. Notify election officials if you have been targeted.
14) If you show up to vote and your name is not on the voter list, you may request a provisional ballot. You can check on your status a week and a half later.
15) Lawmakers throughout the US have been busy restricting your rights. Check with advocacy groups if you have questions and concerns.
16) Rights are restricted in many states under the guise of voter fraud.
17) Register to work at an election site.
18) Virginia has presented several restrictive voting legislation. Along with Arizona, Virginia plans to remove drop off boxes...and Georgia and many other states.
19) A Mississippi bill will bar students from voting if they are out of state.
20) Be concerned and wary of the Mississippi bill that will deny your mail in if your signature does not appear valid---?--check it out.
If you are a registered voter being held in jail awaiting arraignment, you are eligible to vote by absentee ballot. This may be different for your state---check out the facts.
