Neal Adams brought new life to Batman at the right time in the late 60's. The Batman show brought
attention to DC comics and the character. But Neal with a few writers made Batman really unique. He drew Batman in a semi-realistic way, showing different expressions, and drawing the his muscles accurately, and bringing in the sharp lines he learned from Stan Drake and others. He honed these skills while drawing advertising art in some early 60s Boy's Magazines. Neal became a fan favorite soon after.
