In response to the National Weather Service Freeze Warning, Sacramento County is opening two warming center locations for the duration of this event. Centers will be open Wednesday through Friday nights (Feb. 23 and closing at 8am Saturday Morning on the 26th). Protective facial coverings will be required and provided to all visitors. Pets are welcome, but must be on a leash or contained in an animal carrier at all times. Snacks and water will be provided at both locations.
County Warming Center Locations and Hours –
- Creekside Adult School: 2641 Kent Dr, Sacramento, CA 95821, Open 8 PM – 8 AM
- Department of Human Assistance Annex: 1725 28th St, Sacramento, CA 95816, Open 7 pm – 7 am
Transportation will be provided to those who need it at the following locations, buses will be labeled as "Shuttle." Buses will be available from 7 PM to 11 PM each night and again from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM the following morning.
- Stockton Boulevard and Fruitridge Road
- Watt Avenue and Poplar Boulevard
- Ahern Street at North C Street
- Fulton Avenue & Alta Arden
