Phil Yeh was there at the Start of SDCC, Comic-Con

His interaction at the first San Diego Comic-Con included receiving advice from Ray Bradbury and Jack Kirby.

Phil followed up with publishing and cartooning. He was the first journalist to take up the fight for the creators of Superman.

He also published one of the first graphic novels, preceding Eisner's A Contract with God.

Other early graphic novels, also prior to A Contract with God, include Steranko's Chandler, Red Tide, and Gil Kane's Blackmark.

Phil Yeh and Linda Yeh continue to publish Uncle Jam, filled with many articles, and insight into comics.
