Christmas 1978 brought us Boba Fett, and the rest of the special which has not settled well with many fans. Still, it includes the voices of Hamill, and perhaps Fischer and Ford. It also showcases Boba Fett, with a quasi Moebius, Jean Giraud, art style. Well it is more of a cross between a Rankin/Bass animation and a Moebius style. Maybe this was the impetus for Heavy Metal to put out their own movie a year or two later.
Love it or hate it, it is part of Star Wars history, and a teaser for the upcoming the Empire Strikes back.
