John Buscema, What Made Him Great?

I think what makes John Buscema special is that he always worked on his craft, his art. He drew countless sketches to keep himself as professional as possible.

If he had more time, he wished to paint more, as indicated in various interviews.

He worked on expressions, anatomy, figures, all throughout his life.

Remember him this month, especially as it is the month of his birth, being born Natalie.

He was highly deft, and sometimes artists would test him.

At one of his Marvel chalk talks, Walter Simonson put him on the spot and asked him to draw a cowboy from a certain complicated angle. Buscema came through and Simonson was impressed.
