This movie is updated and alludes to many things, including allusions to Palestine occupation (in my opinion), treatment of the prisoners with bags over their heads, and mentioned of Syria, Arabia, and other countries during the race. The emotions of the characters is more obvious. The chariot race is worth the price of admission, and the ending credits are unique.

John Ridley did a great job with the script, the editing is great, with a good pace to the narrative. The cinematography is excellent with many challenges with night and underwater scenes.
