4/21/16 Prince, Rodgers Nelson, has died at age 57 in Minneapolis at his Paisley park Estate. Medics were called to his Paisley Park at approximately 9:40 am this morning.
He was one of the very black entertainers to make it onto MTV in its early days. He was a star in his 20's. In 2004 he was in inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Prince supported and encouraged many artists and bands, including writing songs for Sinead O'Connor, Shiela E, the Bangles and others. Prince was also a practicing Jehovah's Witness since 2001. He produced and recorded the album for the batman movie.

Just saw Purple Rain and the first song is Let’s Go Crazy…"we’re not going the elevator brings us down", and Prince was found dead in an elevator. It was a powerful, different and emotional movie.
I saw it tonight at a special showing at a local Cinemark.
