According to John Romita Sr,. Stan came up with the Lizard after watching a B movie about a man who turns in a lizard man.

In 1962, Warner Brothers, Merrill’s Marauders premiered. Did this movie influenced Stan in creating Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commandos?
