France (Isabelle) Gall, a popular French singer from the 1960s, has died at age 70, in Paris. She made a splash in the Yé-Yé (teen music) field of music.
Gall won the Eurovision Song Writing contest and achieved fame at 18 years old, in 1965.
She collaborated at least once with Elton John.
She married her husband in the 1970s and he died in the early 90s. Gall also lost a young daughter.
